Cellulite treatment to get rid of cellulite
Author: Jennifer Macaire
All women are prone to a condition known as cellulite. This condition is a result of fatty deposits accumulated under the skin. Cellulite makes the skin look dimpled and bumpy, leading women to turn to using cellulite cream for effective cellulite treatment.
With the variety of cellulite creams, gels, oils and other treatments that claim to help you reduce the appearance of cellulite, using cellulite cream for effective cellulite treatment should work hand-in-hand with a change in lifestyle habits like diet and exercise. Creams and other cosmetics typically try to penetrate the skin with collagen to keep skin cells moist, plump and health, allowing for the appearance for a smooth surface.
Other forms of cellulite treatment include a cellulite soap to use when you bathe. This specially formulated soap is made with seaweed extract, which is believed to prevent the development of cellulite by penetrating through layers of the skin to breakdown the accumulation of fats.
If you’re using cellulite cream for effective cellulite treatment, it is important to understand that these cosmetic treatments often work best when applied immediately after a bath or shower, as the skin is better able to absorb lotions then.
Apart from creams and oils, undergarments like hosieries and body wraps can also help your cellulite condition. While these can smoothen the skin during wear, they might not be able to effectively remove cellulite or prevent any more from developing. It is important to choose the right type of cellulite cream for optimal cellulite treatment as it will be able to help you tone and firm your skin in the problem areas.
Dieting doesn’t mean embarking on crash diets or fad diets but it involves wisdom in your food and nutrition intake. Reducing your fatty food intake, sodium chloride and caffeine while increasing your fiber intake (like fruits and vegetables) will help your body fight the condition of cellulite. You can also supplement your diet with vitamins like vitamin A, C and E to help keep your skin in good shape.
Another lifestyle change that will help you combat cellulite is regular exercise. This should include both cardiovascular movement and weight training. Minimizing your overall body fats and building muscle is a very effective strategy to eliminating cellulite on the whole. Work on toning up your problem areas (for example, the buttocks, thighs, stomach, etc.) and do this in conjunction with diligent application of a good cellulite cream for effective cellulite treatment.
Keeping yourself hydrated can help to keep your skin moist and plump, detox impurities from your system. The rule of thumb is to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Hydration, detoxification and improved circulation are just some of the benefits of regulating your water intake. These will ultimately help to improve your skin tone and smoothen out the unsightly dimples on your skin.
Treating yourself to a massage - whether it’s an oil massage or an endermologie massage using a machine - can also help improve your skin. This form of cellulite treatment is believed to penetrate deep into the layers of the skin, targeting at fatty deposits and breaking them down so that nutrients can be more easily fed to the body’s tissues and circulation enhanced, leading to improved skin condition.

Author: Alia Jae
I am usually not that big of a fan when it comes to wedges! To me they just seem big and clunky. I have really narrow feet and skinny legs so for me to wear them I feel a little unbalanced! However, when I saw BCBG’s Raisa Peep Toe Wedges, I think I changed my mind about how I feel about wedges.
You will love that these shoes are the right size and extremely attractive.
I like that these shoes are not too bulky. They also remind me of the kind of wedges Cameron Diaz would wear. Although, her shoes probably cost a quite a bit more than BCBG, they still represent her personal style.
The only color that this shoe comes in is black. The material is leather so you know black on leather is always hot! The inside of the shoe is rather soft. It has a unique grained criss cross leather exterior. One of the things that I liked about the peep hole is that it is a little different from other peep hole designs.
BCBG has done some experimenting with the peep holes. The peep holes on these shoes are rounded. Now, I really don’t keep up too well with new shoe designs, but it is not too often that I see squared peep toe. Usually, they are squared peep toe’s.
Another little cool feature that spices this shoe up just a little bit is that is has a little gold tone logo on the back of the shoe. Don’t worry this is a really discreet touch on the shoe. However, it does add a little bit of flair to the shoe.
Since the overall design of this shoe is not too fancy BCBG did not want to add anything that would be overwhelming for these wedges.
These wedges have a plush insole and lining. These are some of the elements that make this shoe so great. Then the wicker heel looks fantastic against the black leather. BCBG was so creative with this element. It allows these wedges to have a greater appeal.
These Cameron Diaz look-a-like wedges used to retail for $220.00. The good news is that bluefly.com now sells them for $126.00! That is an amazing 40% discount! The sizes come in 5.5, 6, 7 and 8. If you need some new wedges these can be yours.
If you would like to emulate Cameron Diaz style wear slim jeans with these wedges and a cowl neck shirt.
What Causes your Anti-Aging Skin Care Treatment to Retreat
Author: Regina Anoche
What causes your anti-aging skin care treatment to retreat? We may think of the worse things but we overlook the real reasons behind this skin chaos. The way we live our lives is one of the major causes of our skin’s deterioration. As long as we don’t stop practicing these not-so-good habits, chances are we will forever lose our glowing skin forever.
We always think of the sun’s ultra violet rays as the worst enemy of our skin. Think again. Cigarette smoking is just as worse as that. Even the people who do not smoke are prone to premature skin-aging, then how much more are the smokers?
Being exposed to cigarette smoke develops wrinkles and dryness of the skin due to Vitamin C exhaustion. Vitamin C is a highly effective antioxidant that keeps skin young and moisture-locked.
To make your anti-aging skin care treatment effective, do not take alcohol in any amount. Alcohol can destroy the skin permanently by making the small blood vessels near the skin’s surface to swell. This situation creates a flushed appearance and broken vessels on the surface of the skin.
Do not skip on your anti-aging skin care product every time you go out of the house. Exposure to cold weather is as harmful as being exposed to the sun. Exposing yourself to either of the two without any protection can lead your skin into disaster; the skin dries up and wrinkles and sagging increases. Your risk to skin cancer also increases.
Exposure to cold winds and low temperatures can dry out your skin, too. So if you happen to expose yourself out in the cold, make sure to use a good moisturizer. Use a moisturizer indoors too, for heated rooms can be very drying to skin.
As exercise helps tone muscles and normalize blood flow, it should be an important part of every anti-aging skin care program. Regular exercise program will show on your face. Bright smile and lots of energy will help you look younger, at any age.
Lack up sleep makes a person look and feel tired, eventually showing up the signs of aging on the face first, with dark circles, eye bags, and sagging skin. Research has shown that most adults function best with 8-9 hours of sleep each night. A good anti-aging skin care will work more effectively if you get a right amount of sleep.
Starting out with any anti-aging skin care treatment can be more useful if you know the real reason behind your damaged skin. Good thing is that these treatments is becoming more in demand and just within the reach of those people who need them. You can start treating those wrinkles and other signs of aging as early as you first noticed it to prevent them from becoming worse.
Love yourself by getting rid of those bad habits and pamper your skin with an anti-aging skin care treatment. Free yourself from stress and continue to be youthful and happy.
Pregnancy Skin Care: Preventing Stretch Marks
Author: Amy Nutt
Pregnancy is an amazing experience. Feeling a new life growing inside, kicking at you and responding to your actions is a truly unique experience. You really gain a new appreciation for the abilities of the human body as your stomach stretches beyond anything you had ever imagined to accommodate a new baby. However, there are definite downsides to being pregnant and one of them is the side effect of all that stretching . . . stretch marks.
What Causes Stretch Marks
Stretch Marks occur when the skin is stretched beyond its elasticity. The upper layer stretches and the lower layer of skin tends to tear, causing small rips in the tissue. This results in some rather ugly red marks that feel different from the regular texture of your skin. These will fade to white after your pregnancy, but this can take time and they never really do go away..
Whether or not you will get stretch marks really depends on genetics, the elasticity of your skin and how big you get during the pregnancy. Some women dont grow much at all and have more than sufficient elasticity in their skin to withstand the stretching and remain completely unmarked.
Preventing Stretch Marks
The best way to get rid of sStretch marks is not to get them at all. While 90% of women have the genetic predisposition to stretch marks in pregnancy, that doesnt mean you have to just sit back and let them happen. Prevention is truly the best medicine when it comes to these nasty lines. They may be a banner of your ability to carry a child, but really, most women would prefer to avoid them all together. The best time to start prevention is as soon as you know youre pregnant, long before the skin needs to expand.
Its important to only use organic skin products while pregnant. Most chemicals are not proven safe for your unborn baby and its best to just avoid them. Going organic will give you peace of mind and youll be able to treat your skin without fear of affecting the child inside.
Organic skin products are just as effective against stretch marks, if not more so, than commercial, chemical laden ones. Youll find that natural ingredients work naturally with your skin to soothe it and soften it. Not only will you be preventing stretch marks, youll also be promoting softer, more hydrated skin.
What to Look for in Stretch Mark Prevention Treatments
Certain organic products work better than others against stretch marks. Basically, you want to moisturize your skin and enhance the elasticity. A good prevention cream will also provide some healing power to help any existing tears in the skin heal faster, without getting worse. This is particularly helpful if you are starting treatment later in the pregnancy.
Organic stretch mark creams usually use one or more of the following ingredients:
Shea Butter: By far the most common ingredient used in stretch mark prevention since is one of the best natural moisturizers on the market. It also has healing properties to help with any existing stretch marks. Coconut Oil: A very good moisturizing oil that also enhances elasticity and hastens healing of existing problems.
Olive Oil: Another good moisturizer that helps boost elasticity and soften skin, making it more supple and resistant to tearing.
Any organic skin product designed to treat and prevent stretch marks should include one of the above ingredients for maximum benefit. Often they will have other natural ingredients, as well , to promote healing and enhance the moisturizing effect.
The Secret of Cellulite Patch
Author: Mandy Adamsen
Products for cellulite treatment are now improving. These products are almost everywhere in the market. Another great development are cellulite patch products. What is great about these new products is that big cosmetic companies have put their money in the development and marketing of these products. What exactly is a cellulite patch and how can it help reduce cellulite?
How does it work? A cellulite patch can be placed on a cellulite hip or thigh area for anywhere from one to eight hours. A cellulite patch can be used even while asleep but they give best results when used while performing regular daily activities. This is because the cellulite reducing ingredients in a cellulite patch can be activated by one’s body heat. Some patches are therefore used best during exercise routines. The ingredients in a good product usually include natural ingredients that work to burn fat in cellulite areas and promote proper blood flow which is needed to flush out excess fats and toxins. To properly secure a cellulite patch on the area, you can temporarily wear tight clothing or a plastic wrap.
How often do you use a cellulite patch? A good product can be used 3 times a week at first and then once a month or as needed once visible reductions become obvious. As with any cellulite reduction product, a cellulite patch product will have different results depending on the individual’s receptiveness to the ingredients and the cellulite condition. For best results, a cellulite patch should be used as indicated or as consistently as instructed.
Patches– a Good Idea
This solution is very affordable. A cellulite patch is a good option for individuals who do not have the money for expensive treatments. Patches are also the logical cellulite solution of choice for people on the go or those who do not have the time and inclination to apply home remedies or other cellulite reduction products. You can just slap a patch underneath your clothes and go about your usual activities. Nobody even has to know that you are using a cellulite treatment.
Criticism of Patches
A cellulite patch works much like a nicotine patch. The natural ingredients in a cellulite patch come in direct and firm contact with the skin, allowing it to seep into the lower layers of the skin to break down fat. Some feel however that wearing patches and the tight clothing that go with patches for a long time may further restrict blood flow and may prevent the skin from “breathing” naturally. There are also several patch products that will claim to reduce cellulite but are actually really riding on the wave of cellulite patch popularity.
Checking the Product
There are really some cellulite patch brands that can work well on cellulite. The problem is finding the right brand. If you decide that a cellulite patch is the solution for you, then you should check the reputation of a patch brand. It would be better to buy an expensive brand that has a proven track record than a new one that has not yet established its reputation for effectiveness.
Always check cellulite patch ingredients. Make sure that your patches have real natural ingredients like caffeine extract and L-carnitine which are natural ingredients that have been shown to be effective on cellulite. You should know that patches that do not carry natural substances may cause skin irritations or allergies if you have allergic reactions to certain substances. Make sure too that a manufacturer who makes claims can actually prove or explain how their patches work.
If you are not sure about a cellulite patch product, then you are better off making the extra effort to apply a good and natural topical cellulite solution.
Shaving Tips
Author: Real Salon Products
Shaving is comparable brushing your teeth. It’s generally a hassle, but it needs to be done, and the results are always satisfying. That is, unless you have a fight with your shaver every day. Here are some facts and tips to ensure your daily shave goes smoothly.
Your legs must be wet for at least two to three minutes before applying your cleanser or scrub. That way the hair is soft and pliable, easier to cut. Don’t use soap, it just dries out your legs and makes for a poor shave.
Make sure you have the right tool. There are various styles of shavers, but not all legs or hair growth are the same. Triple blades work well, but no matter the blade type you use, change it frequently - but be careful with sharp edges - if not done carefully, shaving can irritate the skin, the hair follicle, and the oil gland, which causes a rash. Ingrown hairs also pose a chance of infection. See a dermatologist for the right solution.
Choose a shaving cream or gel that contains ingredients for a hydrating effect, and one that is fragrance free to avoid irritation to your skin. So steer away from products that contain irritants including alcohol, menthol and peppermint. Find yourself out of shaving cream? Hair conditioner or body cleanser works just fine.
Apply even pressure and shave against the growth of hair. Follow up with a moisturizer to keep your skin moist and supple. Try to avoid creams with AHAs because the glycolic acid can irritate freshly-shaven skin.
Are there shaving alternatives? Yes, there are. While temporary hair removal can be done by shaving, waxing or by epilation (electrolysis and thermolysis) another method is removing hair with a laser.
What exactly is laser hair removal?
Light energy produced by a laser is targeted at the pigment in hair. This causes destruction of hair follicles while sparing surrounding structures (i.e., the skin). Total temporary hair removal, which lasts for several months, can be done in almost all patients. However, total permanent laser hair removal is not commonly done. Stable permanent hair removal may be possible in some cases and usually requires many treatment sessions.
Who will benefit from laser hair removal?
Almost anybody, however, this process works well for light-skinned, dark-haired individuals. There is no laser treatment yet that is effective for white, blond or red hair.
Be aware of some cautions if you go this route; such as dealing with existing bacterial or viral infections, psoriasis, or if you are on certain medications such as Accutane. See your dermatologist for more details if you are thinking about laser hair removal.
Laser hair removal facts
The process can be mild to moderately uncomfortable. Most patients require three to six treatments. Long-lasting results depend on hair color, type of laser, and location treated. Complications are rare if performed by an experienced physician. Expect some pain, swelling and redness around the hair follicle after each treatment session. Check with your dermatologist about pre-care concerns.
Folliculitis alertShaving can also cause a condition called folliculitis, which is an inflammation or infection of hair follicles. It most often appears in areas that become irritated by shaving, the rubbing of clothes, or where follicles and pores are blocked by oils and dirt.
What to watch for:
a reddened rash raised, red, often pus-filled lesions around hair follicles (pimples) and itching at the site of the rash and pimples
How to prevent it: shave with an electric razor instead of a blade razor keep skin clean avoid clothing that rubs against the skin, damaging hair follicles
Also, for great feeling smooth skin use an exfoliator after shaving. This will remove all the dead skin leaving the skin feeling nice and smooth. You can find gentle to mild exfliators with wonderful scents at Real Salon Products.
Learn How To Prevet Hair Loss
Author: Irina Thorton
People are divided on whether hair loss can be prevented or not. Most believe that stopping hair loss may not always be possible for everyone. For some people though, it can be done. Here are some simple tips to help you prevent hair loss.
Take Care of Your Hair
Hair Products - You know how they say that hairstyling and the use of hair products cannot cause you to lose your hair. This may be partly true especially if you only have your hair done in regular but safe intervals. Too much bleaching, repeated coloring and rigorous drying however will definitely damage your hair. Among some people the scalp may be damaged as well, which may possibly cause some hair loss.
Products that are too harsh and are not deemed safe for consumer use may cause untold damage to your hair. Prevent hair loss by not being too vain with your hair.
Watch Your Hairstyles
The Traction Alopecia Cause - One type of hair loss is known as traction alopecia. This is called such because the stress or traction placed on the hair strands may cause them to get uprooted from the scalp. This usually happens when you keep on sporting tight hairstyles like braids, corn rolls and pony tails. Your condition may get worse if the skin over which the hair strands was pulled from develops a scar. In this case, it may be difficult to prevent hair loss. The best thing to do to prevent hair loss from this cause is to alternate your hairstyles.
Eat Right and Exercise
Studies have shown that being deficient in some vitamins and minerals could lead to hair loss. You can prevent hair loss of this type by making sure that you always eat healthy and nutritious foods at least three times a day. You can’t just stop her though. You have to make sure that the nutrients in your body reach their destinations. One way to do that and possibly prevent hair loss is through regular aerobic exercise. Swimming, running, walking, cycling and other similar activities will promote proper blood flow and nutrient distribution.
Vitamin Supplementation
You can’t always prevent hair loss though by just attempting to eat right. Chances are, you may not always be able to get the right amount of nutrients in your body. You can make sure that you are not missing out on any essential nutrients by taking vitamin and mineral supplements.
Medication
It may be harder to prevent hair loss though if you have androgenetic alopecia. In this condition the DHT hormone causes the hair follicles to shrink, making new hair growth difficult. One way to prevent hair loss of this kind is to take medication. So far there are two medications approved for the treatment and prevention of male hair loss. There is one indicated for female use.
Herbs for Hair Loss
As with most other serious medications, those used to prevent hair loss may come with some side effects. If you would like to avoid dealing with these, you may want to go for herbs for hair loss. Saw palmetto is one option for men. It has been shown to be able to block DHT before it can do damage to hair follicles.

HOW TO FIX YOUR WINTER HAIR PROBLEMS
Author: winterhair
During the winter months, everything seems to suffer from the lack of sunlight and depressing bad weather. Not only does your skin get dry and chapped from the cold and wind, but your hair also takes a beating during this season.
You see, during the cold months, there is a never-ending rampage on your hair and skin that works to rob them of vital moisture that they need. Dry heat from your home’s heating source can zap the life right out of your hair and windy days can leave you with unmanageable static that leaves you looking like the Bride of Frankenstein.
Another thing that takes a toll on your hair during the winter months is thermal damage. During the summer, many people allow their hair to dry naturally and simply pull it back into a ponytail, but the winter months offer no such luxury. Cold weather forces you to dry our hair almost every single day. And the ponytail often gives way to more involved thermal styles. All of this works to add even more damage and dullness to your otherwise depressed winter tresses.
So, what can you do to brighten your winter hair blahs? Here are just a few ideas that can help keep your hair beautiful, shiny and static-free even when the snow is falling.
Get Color - Getting your hair color refreshed is a great way to add shine and body to lifeless hair. Even if you don’t color your hair, a clear color application can give you unbelievable glow without changing your hair color. If you wear blond highlights or lighten your hair during the summer months, the winter is a great time to add warmth to your hair color by infusing a little red or rich brown. Conditioning Treatments - Most salons sell their professional conditioning treatments or something similar to them in retail form so you can do salon-quality conditioning treatments at home. By doing a treatment once a week, you will see a big difference in your hair’s moisture level, and moisture helps to eliminate static. Get Trimmed - The winter is no time to start slacking on your routine trims. Get into the salon every 6 to 8 weeks. If you curl or straighten your hair every day, you may want to go every 4 weeks to get your ends a little brushed up.
In addition to these great ideas, make sure that the products you use on your hair helps to keep it healthy. Use shampoos and conditioners formulated for your specific hair type and use hair protectants if you do a lot of thermal styling. By doing all of this, you will ensure that your hair is gorgeous even if the weather is not.
Weight Loss Tips: Healthier Snack Ideas
Author: Joel Riley
One of the toughest things about dieting is choosing snacks that both satisfy you and keep your calories under control. This is especially true if you’re used to snacking on potato chips and candy bars. But you don’t have to go it on your own. Here are some ideas for snacks that can help you curb those cravings.
1. Air-popped or 94% fat free popcorn
2. Try some almond trail mix
3. Diced and sliced fruit
4. A small amount of dark chocolate - it will satisfy your chocolate craving and it’s healthy too!
5. Greek yogurt with a tablespoon of honey
6. Sliced fruit
7. A spoonful of peanut butter
8. A Bowl of Wheat Cereal
9. A dietary protein shake
10. Dried cranberries
You can take any of the snacks off of this list, they are all healthy choices for snacking. Avoid foods that are over processed because those foods are going to make you feel cheated and hungry down the road and they offer no health benefits.
For example, it’s better to have a handful of nuts than a granola bar. Most granola bars are low in fat, but they have a lot of added sugar that you don’t need.
Also make sure that you keep your body hydrated. Hunger and thirst often feel the same. If you feel a little hungry, try drinking a glass of water and then wait a few minutes. You may find that you don’t really need a snack after all.
